Moss meets its thatched roof match in the Pulmic 35 battery sprayer

Another week, another new use for the versatile Pulmic Industrial 35L battery sprayer: spraying thatched roofs against moss.

Moss can be highly destructive to thatched roofs, of which there are some 60,000 in the UK, trapping moisture in the thatch that causes it to rot away. Obviously, getting up there and scraping it off is no easy task and professional help is expensive. Spraying the roof regularly with a biocide – one that is not harmful to the roof itself – is a much more effective means of moss control as it stops the stuff growing in the first place.

Using the 5m Telescopic Lance with the Pulmic 35 enabled our customer to reach every part of his beautiful thatched cottage roof and he makes it look almost enjoyably simple! Watch the sprayer in action in our short video.

How often a roof needs to be sprayed depends on the individual thatch and the local environment but it is estimated that every 1 to 3 years is necessary. Given the Pulmic 35 can be used for a huge array of other maintenance spraying tasks around the home and garden, it really is worth its weight in gold.
