Agrochemical distribution equipment for grounds maintenance
The maintenance of grounds, estates and gardens requires the application of many different types of agrochemical and fertiliser. PSP offer a range of applicators for liquid, powdered and granulated product manufactured by world leading company Guarany.
Guarany have over 90 years of manufacturing excellence under their belt. They produce the world’s largest and most innovative range of manually operated agrochemical applicator devices. Each product in their range has been honed to help improve speed and accuracy in the application of fertilisers, insecticides, fungicides and other agrochemicals.
Backpack Sprayers can be used for the delivery of any liquid pesticide or herbicide. In the ground’s maintenance sector, they are commonly used for weed control as well as in the control of pests and diseases. Secondary applications include the treatment of wooden fences, outside furniture and the spraying of patios/paving.
Compression / handheld sprayers – many smaller spraying jobs in the grounds maintenance sector are best completed by handheld sprayers rather than larger backpack sprayers. The Guarany range of compression sprayers may be smaller than the larger backpack sprayers in the range but they are built with same quality and robustness. This makes them suitable devices for the smaller applications of pesticide and other agrochemicals that may be needed.
Granule and powder applicators – many agrochemicals used in grounds maintenance come in a granulated or powdered form. The Guarany range of powder and granule applicators help groundskeepers distribute these products where they are needed in an accurate and reliable way.
The granule applicators come in 3 main models. Our backpack applicator has an 18-litre hopper and will deliver a precise dose of granulated or powdered product with each pull of the trigger. The dosing chamber can be adjusted so that between 8 and 250g of product can be delivered with each trigger pull. This product is very useful when delivering a consistent dose of product multiple times, for example fertiliser at the base of shrubs or trees.
Our backpack granule spreader has an internal hand cranked fan. Granules, seeds or powder are stored in the 8 litres hopper. The fan then distributes the product from the backpack over a wide area as the operator walks. This device is suitable for any application when a granulate product needs to be distributed over an area, for example: spreading seeds or granulated fertiliser on lawn.
Our granule injector is designed to deliver discrete doses of granulated product under the soil. The applicator is driven into the ground and then pulled apart, which releases the product into the newly formed hole. This product is handy for any grounds maintenance worker who need to deliver granulated product under the soil or to the root systems of trees.
Firefighting – we have the industry leading firefighting backpack as used by 80% of the UK’s fire brigades. This tough but flexible backpack holds 25 litres of water and has a pump action pump which can throw a jet of water 12 metres. The nozzle can also be adjusted to deliver a fine fog for close firefighting. This is an ideal first response piece of firefighting kit for any ground’s maintenance personnel concerned about a fire-risk.
