Deer present a problem for many garden owners. Their diets consist of not only herbs and grasses but also the tender shoots, leaves and bark of newly establishing shrubs, plants and vegetables. Fencing can be prohibitively expensive or impractical and there are few other effective means of deterring them.
Trico® Garden has been proven to give highly effective protection to trees, garden plants, vineyards, orchards and agricultural crops against deer browsing. Trico® Garden is a smell and taste deterrent based on emulsified sheep fat which deer will avoid as they find the smell and taste totally unappetising. It has the advantage over other repellents on the market in that it has good rainfastness, providing effective protection against deer damage during both the summer and winter. It is totally harmless to deer. They just don’t like the smell and taste!
In the autumn, a single application may be sufficient to repel deer but if the damage persists, a second application can be made up to 28 days after first application. In the spring, up to three repeat applications can be made at 28 day intervals. Trico® can repel deer for up to six months. The weather resistant formula starts working upon application. It has no recognisable smell to humans.
Trico® Garden is mixed with water in a ratio of 1:3 to 1:5 and applied with commercially available hand or backpack sprayers and is applied specifically to the plant parts to be protected.

The Keeper Garden 1500 is suitable for a large range of household, garden and DIY tasks. Its adjustable nozzle means it can spray a jet or a mist. The compression design allows for a continuous, unbroken spray.
