This summer has brought record-breaking heat to the UK. June saw a rare Met Office red alert for extreme heat, with a new June record of 38.0C at Lingwood in Norfolk on 26 June. With ground conditions this dry, wildfires are spreading fast.
According to National Resilience data shared with the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC), fire and rescue services in England and Wales had responded to nearly 700 wildfires this year to the end of July. Of those, 208 of those came in this last fortnight. The NFCC has warned that the wildfire risk remains elevated. The impact has been felt across the country. In mid-July, fires on the moorland around Dove Stone and Swineshaw in the North West sent smoke across the region.
Fire services are stretched, and land managers need to be ready
With crews responding to hundreds of incidents in a matter of weeks, fire services can’t be everywhere at once. That makes it more important for estate owners, farmers, land managers and events organisers to have their own professional equipment in place before a fire starts. - Adjustable nozzle for mist or jet spraying
- Quick-fill system that lets you refill the backpack while it’s being worn
- Foam-ready: with a separate air aspirating nozzle, it can be used with a variety of foaming agents for extra firefighting power
- Chimney fire adaptor nozzle available separately
- Low maintenance: the unit is non-pressurised, so it avoids the yearly check-ups that pressurised extinguishers need, and the flexible bag stores in minimal space

For larger incidents: the 4×4 Firefighting Pump Kit
For bigger jobs, our 4×4 Firefighting Pump Kit turns a pick-up truck or other 4×4 into a rapid-response unit when you need it. Because the tank is flexible, the whole kit can be dismantled and stored away over winter.
The kit consists of:
- Flexible PVC tank in 400L or 700L, with flame retardant additive, protective cover, and a low-profile design with baffles
- Honda GX160 4-stroke engine with oil level warning
- Imovilli Pompe M-35 membrane pump, self-priming, delivering 39 l/min at 40 bar
- 30 m PVC discharge hose with polyester frame (½”, 700 psi)
- Stainless steel discharge gun for full jet and spray
- Optional foam inductor kit available as an accessory
