According to the World Bank’s Commodity Markets Outlook issued in April, fertiliser prices have risen nearly 30% since the start of 2022, following last year’s 80% surge. And prices of other agrochemicals, such as the herbicide glyphosate, saw massive price increases last year with prices remaining high into 2022.
While attention, and technological innovation, has tended to focus on improving the efficiency of larger tractor-mounted sprayers and applicators, the manual spraying end of the market is sadly neglected, meaning growers and spraying professionals using non vehicle-mounted kit are struggling to find ways to save on their agrochemicals costs.
