Foggers & Nebulisers
Fogging in horticulture
Guarany has carried out extensive research into the use of fogging for disease control in plant, vegetable and fruit growing and floriculture as well as livestock farming. An example is the study it did with Columbian exporters of cut flowers whereby cold storage facilities were treated with fungicide using the Electric ULV Cold Fogger prior to the flowers being stored which led to a dramatic reduction in damage caused by the Botrysis cinerea fungus which can ruin petals and leaves. For more information on using fogging for disease and pest control, please do contact us.
Our highly effective and proven foggers and misters/nebulisers are ideal for large scale cleaning and disinfecting operations as well as for treating pathogens which affect plants and flowers and treating pens and coops in livestock farming. Their robust design makes them suitable for use with disinfectants and other chemical cleaning products as well as with liquid and powdered pest control products. We offer electric fogging machines, a motorised fogger and fogging guns.
Guarany, founded in 1924, are no newcomers to spraying to prevent the spread of disease. The company’s expertise in this area goes back many decades and was built on its agricultural spraying knowledge which was developed through working with the best engineers and investing in the best technologies. In the 1980s, the company expanded to develop spraying equipment to help fight and control diseases such as yellow fever, malaria, dengue fever, Chagas disease and schistosomiasis and this equipment is today used around the world.
Says Alida Bellandi, Guarany’s CEO: “we invested in the diversification of our spraying business based on a master traditional specialisation which was spraying. We went to Switzerland to present our company and products to the World Health Organisation (WHO) as well as to England to Imperial College. We registered our products, earned the respect of doctors and engineers and became part of an international community of renowned manufacturers.”
At the invitation of the WHO, Guarany joined a committee of a select group of companies with the objective of determining the guidelines for the application of products to combat the vectors that cause endemic diseases in addition to defining specifications of the machines that would be used to apply them. This equipment was given WHO certification. If you want reassurance that you are buying a quality product, look no further than Guarany.

Please note, adequate PPE must be worn for all cleaning and disinfection operations (see our Equipment Selection table). Ventilation should be available and operations should not take place where other people are present or not wearing adequate PPE as well. Always consult operating guides for equipment and disinfectants and cleaning fluids.
